TEEN SURVIVAL CAMP 8-13 JUNE 2026

Boys Ages 15-18: $750 (near Farmington, MO)

Intrepid’s first-ever Christian Survival Camp is designed to help your son learn the true definition of manhood.  One that is founded on faith in God and combines virtues, morals, and competence.  Discipleship will occur in the context of survival training, where physical skills will parallel the truths from a biblical worldview.  By the end of the week, we pray that your teens will have developed and/or deepened their relationship with God, gained lifelong friendships, and memories and lessons they can carry with them through the challenges of this world.

This parachurch ministry most closely aligns with Protestant non-denominational reformed theology, focusing on biblical teaching and a God-Centered life.  All cadre are professing Christ followers actively living out their faith within their respective local churches across the nation.

Just as Jesus withdrew from the busy city life, we use solitude in God’s creation away from technology in a temperate biome to gain our boys’ attention. We will start with a brief academic segment discussing survival gear principles, survival knots, and the foundational five basic needs: Health, Personal Protection, Sustenance, Signal/Recovery, and Navigation.

We will quickly transition into a static living camp where we will learn remote wilderness first aid, shelter-building and fire-building skills, and water and food procurement techniques. The next day will be mobile, as we will learn to read a map and use a compass to navigate diverse terrain.

Along the way, we will have meaningful discussions about the parallels in scripture to Jesus’ Seven “I am’s” in the book of John. Boys will have time each morning and evening for meditation and reflection, along with nightly worship and devotion around the fire circle with the cadre.

Once the basic needs are mastered, each boy will conduct a solo living exercise in which they will put to practice the physical, mental, and spiritual skills they have gained during the week. At times, it will be physically and mentally challenging. However, it is always rewarding, as the cadre will be there every step of the way to help the boys build confidence and increase resilience.
This all occurs in four field training days, so the pace is quick and our expectations are high. Your son must be in reasonably good physical condition and self-motivated to keep up with our cadre and the other boys. Please contact Intrepid Leadership Group directly before registering your son if you’re not sure this curriculum is appropriate. We will discuss our training in-depth to help you make your decision.

This camp begins and ends in the greater St. Louis area, with all training taking place at Asymmetric Solutions Missouri Special Warfare Training Center (MSWTC) where the boys will sleep, eat, and train in field conditions under the care and instruction of our Veteran USAF Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Specialists and Special Operators.

Anyone flying into the area should use St. Louis International Airport (STL). Travel days are 8 June and 13 June 2026. Intrepid cadre will meet your son at the airport and get them back to the airport for their departure flights. Anyone driving in should also use STL to link up with the Intrepid cadre. With prior coordination, Intrepid can link up with drivers in Farmington, MO as well. Please coordinate directly with Intrepid before making any travel plans.

Required Gear

A full gear list will be sent out after registration. There will be two sections of gear: a mandatory list that students must bring to the course, and an optional list that students can get by without but is highly recommended. Before the camp, your teenager will need to procure the mandatory gear list required for the course. Each teen will receive a survival kit to use throughout the camp and keep upon completion.
